David Williams-Ellis is one of the world’s foremost figurative sculptors. David works primarily in clay from life and casts in bronze and glass, drawing on a classical tradition but giving the sculpture his own contemporary feel.

Studying in Florence under the eminent Signorina Nerina Simi at the age of 18, David became influenced by the Italian and French masters. His ability is to translate, through his sculpture, the absolute essence of what he sees in other people. The balance and poise of his work is unique.

The innovative life sized busts and nudes that have earned David International recognition can be found in private and public collections worldwide.

David was elected as a member of the Royal Cambrian Society in 1993 and today works between Cumbria and London.
